Printer Randomly Substituting Letters

Hi!

So I have about 5 Wyse thin client running CE 5 Pro, connecting to a session on a 2012 R2 server with a virtual machine and printing to an HP Laserjet 4100TN printer via the LAN. The issue I'm having is the printer is randomly substituting letters and numbers on documents it prints. It will do one or two characters, but it will change every instance of them in the entire document (so e=R, c=1, t=o). The choice on the characters appears to be random and it does not do it all the time, only occasionally and so far only reported with Excel, Acrobat Pro and both Chrome and IE (which is pretty much all they print from). I am certain the issue is caused because the hardware is so old and is connecting to a 2012 R2 server session. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try to fix this? I had some success telling Acrobat to print it like...
