Adding shared network printer to Mac

We have several Macs in our environment. All connect to a Windows print server (WBC-DC1) to print to the main Canon printers. We do this for Dept. ID management. Only one Mac is having this issue.

The issue started when the printers showed to be in a paused state. I cleared the queue and tried to reprint but nothing happened. I then deleted the printers and went to re-add. When I go to re-add, Windows computers, several computers in our network show up but our WBC-DC1 (print server) does not. I've verified the IP and subnet is correct (WBC-DC1 is also the DHCP server). I've rebooted both the Mac and server several times.

I've google'd my butt off and can't seem to come up with correct drivers for Win 10 x64. Found one on their site but it just installed another instance of print driver no fax driver. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Konic Minolta just stopped Scan to Email (GMail)

I have several different Konica Minolta Bizhubs using gmail scan to email. All of a sudden they stopped working. Whenever we try to scan to email we keep getting a error deletion/ server connection error on the copiers.

I have put in/checked the default gmail settings for scan to email.

smtp.gmail.com, start TLS, port 25, port 465(SSL), SMTP authentication is on.

smtp-relay.gmail.com, start TLS, port 25, port 465(SSL), SMTP authentication is on.

Neither work I have even just done SMPT vs start TLS.

I have also made sure the firmware was update to latest version for each. I also have already changed the gmail account to accept less secure devices, and it has IMAP and POP. I have allowed the public IPs in GSuite as well. I checked my firewall to see if it was blocking it, and I even gave full access through my Web Filter. I also made...

Printer won't print and seems to drop off the network.

Hello.  I have an unusual problem.  I have an HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M225dn printer connected to a SOHO router.  The printer is wired with a CAT5e cable, connecting the printer directly into the router.  The laptop trying to print is wireless and is running Windows 10 Home.  The printer appears to be on the network, but as the user attempts to print, the job will not print.  I go to the Control Panel and check the print queue.  The job says it is submitted, but the printer will not print.  I can go to Services and restart the Print Spooler service to temporarily fix the problem.  However, if the printer is turned off and then back on, the problem reappears.  Does anyone know what the root cause is?  Thank you in advance.

Branch office direct printing is slow

BODP allows a user to print direct to the IP of the printer while connected to a printer share on a print server. This sounds like the ideal scenario because I can administrate drivers and settings centrally and users print faster and without unnecessary WAN traffic.

Here's the rub: I've found that when a user prints to a BODP printer sourced from a print server across the WAN, the delay is significant. Printer queues show that the print job does go straight from the PC to the printer, but there is a lag of just under 10 seconds for this particular print job to spool before it prints.
That same print job going to the same printer on the same PC set to print directly to IP prints nearly instantaneously.
It gets worse:
If I set up a BODP enabled print share on a server that is on the same LAN, that delay is reduced significantly. If I...

Kyocera 4002i printer
Needed to make some changes so I went to its web interface and I get this response.
I've restarted a few times and even changed the IP once. No difference.

HTTPS (which I've turned off & on) refuses connection.

Printer web interfaces come direct from satan. All of them.

Got this from a nmap scan.

HP LJ 553 spitting out XPIF XML pages

Hello everyone. We recently had an executives HP 553 start spitting out thesingle XML page below with every print job, regardless of source document. A quick Google search tells me it's a Xerox command page, with shockingly little else to be found about it. We run this printer through the network using PrinterLogic to manage and install drivers. No recent network or driver changes at all. We also have two other 553's on the network setup with the exact same drivers through PrinterLogic that work perfectly. How on earth is a Xerox page coming through to an HP printer?

Hi,

I have a printer that I've just installed on our print server (HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw) I can ping the printer just fine and when I install the printer locally, it prints.  However, when I try to print from the same printer deployed from our print server, it will not print.  Both instances are using the same driver PCL 6 (v3), the printer is shared on the server.  What steps am I missing?

Thanks.

Kyocera trouble printing over network

Hello! We have an odd problem with our Kyocera printers. They have been up and running for several years now. Occasionally we have had teachers have trouble printing pdf files over the network. It stays in processing forever and will only remove from the printer if the job is deleted from the user's computer. I have always assumed it was an issue with the pdf, but I recently discovered that if the user moves their computer next to the printer, it will print.

I assume this means that if the user is on the same AP as the printer the job will go through, but when they're not, it gets hung up. Has anyone seen this issue and know what settings may be causing it? I asked our copier tech about it and he said he'd heard of that happening but didn't know how to fix it.

Some more details. The copiers are Kyocera Taskalfa 6002is. They are connected...

Printer online for all in house except me

I have only seen one post with a similar issue, but the method to solve this doesn't work for me because the printer doesn't show in the printers & scanners section. I tried to connect the printer but it wasn't listed. I then followed through the steps to find the printer, but it says its unknown. I know it's not the printer as everyone else can print fine.

I've restarted the print spool, deleted drivers & TCP/IP ports. I've rebooted my PC, disconnected form the WiFi.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

Is it possible to set job accounting on mac driver for Kyocera?

Macbook Pro with touchbar-MacOS Mojave 10.14.6

Kyocera TASKalfa 3551ci mfp

Have an issue with setting up job accounting for Kyocera networked multi-functional printer. The only codes available are preset in a drop-down list from 0000000 to 0000030 and cannot enter a 4 digit code when trying to print from both Safari or Textedit.

Downloaded MAC print driver version 20190624 (the only one available) from https://usa.kyoceradocumentsolutions.com/en/ download center and installed. Printer installed via ip address and chosen the corresponding driver (Kyocera Taskalfa 3551ci - KDPL).

I know there won't be any prompts to enter the 4 digit code as in the case with windows OS. However I would like to save as a preset for b&w and the other for full colour.

Datamax 4206 goes offline

Hi all,

We have two printers Datamax m4206 Mark II connected to two different computers. And both of them goes offline at least once a day. When I say offline, I mean it's grayed out in control panel. It happens even during the printing... It doesn't help reconnecting to usb, or even reset the printer... the only thing that is working is resetting the computer. That is pretty odd, don't you think?

What could be causing this?

Win 10 Printer and Local downlevel document locking up the queue

I have 1 user, who for some reason (literally just started happening today after lunch), keeps getting local downlevel documents stuck in his printer queue if he restarts his computer. He will print perfectly until he reboots (sometimes an application has an issue and he reboots to bring it back up). Then after he reboots, I have to uninstall the printer and reinstall it where it works until he reboots again. The thing locking up the queue is the Local Downlevel Document. My google fu isn't working too much, as any post if 6 plus years old and has either useless information or no responses at all.

The PC is updated with all the latest updates (other computers use this same printer and they have no issues), It was working perfectly yesterday (as far as I know). I saw nothing in the logs (unless I wasn't looking into the correct logs...

I work for a non-profit that has a Kyocera 5550ci multi-function device. They have several users that bring their own Macs. I have access to a Mac for testing, but I have been unable to print to the Kyocera. I have the manual and have followed the instructions. I have set up a printer through the advanced options using Windows printer via spoolss which adds a URL starting with smb:// to which I have tried many different things: just the IP address, the IP address and the queue name (saw somewhere it needs to look like this: smb://192.168.50.10/Kyocera%20TASKalfa%205550ci%20XPS%20(Color) ). Once the printer is created when I try to send a print job it does prompt for username and password, then goes through several stages and acts like it is sending the print job, but in the end I see: Connection refused., then the status is Ready to...

Hello. I apologize if this is something I could have just googled. I am unsure how to even describe the issue which makes searching for solutions tricky. I will post a picture here. This output is from an old HP P2055dn and the problem is near the top of the page (or the left of the page in one case) It also jams constantly:
