Hello - We currently have two Sharp printers with a support agreement where a support technician will come to our site if the printer reports any issues, however we are curious as to how Sharp communicates with the printer to get this information.
We don't have any 'allowance' for their IP addresses in our firewall, and show zero traffic on our edge router for their IP's. We are guessing it's an on-demand UDP transmission originating from the printer, or one of the many protocols supported by the printer.
So, how does Sharp communicate with our printers exactly? Curious minds want to know.
