Looking for a printer that can print on the upward-facing side of the sheet as it comes out of the feed tray, so that pre-numbered checks print in the right order.
My client is currently using an HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color MFP M475dn. It prints the right way but isn't robust enough for the volume they are printing and jams or misfeeds frequently. They print about 2000 checks in a single day, once a month and also use the printer throughout the month for other (mostly plain paper) uses.
For some reason, I've had a hard time explaining this "face-up" concept to vendors and have been sent a couple of printers that I've had to send back. The printing comes from a custom database application, so it is possible to adjust the check numbers after the fact, but it's not ideal.
Any ideas?
