OK, this is a long shot, but worth a try. Our library uses Star Micronics TSP700ii as our receipt printers. They have been in use for several years and over those years we had one of the "open door covers" break. Then yesterday it happened again.
Since money is extremely tight right now, I tried to research how to fix this problem, since I now have two useless receipt printers on hand. As luck would have it, nowhere can I find this as a part, or anyone else having this problem. I tried taking one apart to see what I could "rig", but I stopped after I removed the bottom and found I could not easily remove the top section.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of torment? Any suggestions (besides buying new printers).
