I'm off to a bad start. I have experience with the x476dw and x576dw. Those have been great workhorse color MFCs (or MFPs, or whatever you want to call them). I recently acquired an HP PageWide Pro 452dn to give its larger monthly duty cycle a test and it has failed right out of the box. It doesn't even ask me for a language nor does it get to a point where it will check the ink or anything.
It states "Update Required" and mentions that there's a problem with the critical system files. It says will install an update to fix the problem on the LCD screen but it does nothing. None of the buttons do anything except for turning it on and off with the power button.
Connecting to it via USB just loads up "Firmware Update Device" in my "Devices and Printers" on windows 10 which does nothing. It's connected to ethernet and has grabbed a...
