For the life of me I can not figure out why this is happening.
It only happens to a small % of computers in our office and the computers vary between new computers that were recently deployed and old computers that have been here for over a year.
I can ping the printer from command prompt without issue and connect to it via IE or any web browser.
Ive tried installing the Microsoft hot fixhttps://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/982728but that does not work. It says:
no matter which version of the hotfix I try.
So i found a work around which was to:
- Go to theC:\Windows\system32\directory and find the file “mscms.dll“Copy that file to:
- C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3\if you are using64-bitWindows 7
- C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\if you are using32-bitWindows 7
but that did not work either.
