Is anybody familiar with dell c5765dn printer?

Its made by xerox from what I heard. Dell wants a wireshark log in order to answer my two questions that dont have anything to do with wireshark........

1)How do I enable OCR and use it? Its build into the printer and does not come with any software.

2)Some of my network scanners scan to our local ftp server. Iam able to use server name as ftp such as "server" but on c5765dn I need to use full name such as "server.domainname.local". Its not a big deal but Iam trying to understand why other same brand different model printers work with just "server".
