I am looking for ways to limit the frivolous printing that our students seem to do. In my high school and college days I was used to a number of different platforms that limited the number of pages a student could print in a semester/year. I've had physical print cards with an allotment of pages as well as an assigned number of pages that are linked to logins.
All of our word processing is done in Google, though there doesn't seem to be a way to add a page count to our managed Google accounts. Outside of that, all of our computers are imaged using FOG and run Windows 7. Our server is all done in Linux. There is no log-in for the students when they are doing research and printing for the internet, which I admit probably adds complexity to this issue.
