will Ricoh firmware update solve the problem?

I was asked to change the names of our printers to the physical location of where they are located. I did this through the web interface and saved the changes.

When I went to check to see if this process took effect by trying to install another printer the old name is still in the list of available printers. I troubleshot this with Ricoh and after verify that I had actually changed the printer name and it is listed as an available printers along with the original name/printer they suggested a firmware update of the printer.

Is this really needed or is there something weird going on within Windows that holds the old printer name? Both copies of the same printer have different names but same IP address with the new name having the ext. of :53000.

I attached a screen shot.
