We have about 8 users that are using Xerox Visioneer scanners models 3125, 272, 262i. The scanners lose connection with the desktops and the only way to regain connection is to turn off the scanners, change usb port, or reboot the computer.
When testing with a 272 and putting the desktop into hibernation the 272 shows '0' on the scanner. When i turn on the desktop it goes back to the default '2' for a moment, but changes back to '0' before the logon screen. I can right click on OneTouch, Show Hardware, and it shows the hardware info and I can turn the lamps on or off. But pressing any of the three buttons on the scanner doesn't do anything. Users don't put the computers in hibernation, but it's a way I've found the replicate the issue. They are generally using the computers and it will scan a few documents and then lose connection.
