Last week we moved out print server in the rack. It simply went from a spot high in the rack to a low place with no change in cabling, IP address, or any other oddities. Since then some users have not been able to print to the server or see the printers on the server. I fire up the Add Printer utility, tell it network printer don't see the printer I want find a printer in the directory and...nothing from this server. I can see printers that are attached to other servers and workstations and shared out, but not this particular server.
Additional detail: if I choose "select a printer by name" and type in "\\servername\", then it pulls up a list of printers on that server.
It's not a huge deal as the users have a work-around, but it bugs me that things don't work as they should. Any suggestions on what to look at?
